Rota Vicentina: A network of walking trails in South Western Portugal
Comprising the Historical Way, the Fishermen’s Trail, and several Circular Routes, totals 400 km to walk, between the city of Santiago do Cacém and the Cape St. Vincent, the most south western point in Europe.
Historical Way:
With 12 sections and 230 km, integrating GR 11 / E9, the European long distance path connecting Sagres to St. Petersburg, the Historical Way has been certified in 2016 by the European wide label “Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe”, for its high walking quality.
